The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati is proud to launch TCT EVERYWHERE -- an online resource for parents, teachers and students. Now that the state of Ohio has officially mandated citizens to stay-at-home, it is very difficult for patrons to come visit. But that doesn't mean TCT can't come to you...virtually! Check out frequently updated TCT EVERYWHERE page on their website, where you'll find crafts, acting and vocal exercises, contests, study guides, podcasts, videos of shows, and more, including: Casper the Friendly Musical; Suffragettes: With Liberty and Voting for All; TCT Academy; and Sleeping Beauty.
Cincinnati Ballet will be offering online/remote classes and tutorials for our Otto M. Budig Academy students, professional dancers, and patrons. Stay tuned for more on schedule and access options. They will also be sharing performance and rehearsal archive videos to enjoy during these challenging times as well as occassional live "living room" ballet classes taught by several professional dancers. Follow their Facebook page for updates.
WonderZone videos feature CMC staff working through an experiment, complete with a list of supplies that are commonly found at home, so parents can easily adapt items from the recycling bin or pantry into slime, elephant toothpaste, hoop gliders, papier-mâché and more. The videos will also reunite viewers with some of their favorite friends from CMC’s resident live animals.
Story Tree Time will go online as a livestream video every Wednesday at 11 a.m. The Duke Energy Children’s Museum’s Dance Party will also continue online as an opportunity for kids to get out their wiggles during the day.
CMC’s educational team will be providing lesson plans and worksheets available to download. These lesson plans will focus on museum content as well as past exhibitions and OMNIMAX® films as CMC digs into the archives to continue to offer a robust learning experience on a variety of topics that span the globe and stretch into the stars above. Select OMNIMAX® films are also available online with accompanying education guides, which CMC has shared on its website at cincymuseum.org/omnimax.
