Cincinnati Travel & Tourism Week

The Cincinnati Region Travel & Tourism Week Presented by Meet NKY, Cincinnati USA CVB and Cincinnati USA RTN

National Travel & Tourism Week — May 5-11, 2019

Established in 1983, National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW) is the annual salute to travel in America. During the first full week in May, communities nationwide unite to showcase travel’s contributions to the economy and American jobs.

Travel matters to the 80,000 local people employed in hospitality, and the $5 billion visitors spend annually is new money circulating throughout our region. But, travel matters also the 26 million people who chose the Cincinnati region for their leisure and business travel every year. We are providing them new experiences, new people to meet and a different lens on life. Did you know:
  • Regardless of age, when asked what they would put on a bucket list of things they wish to accomplish, 88 percent of Americans placed traveling to new places at the very top.
  • More than two-thirds (72%) of American adults would rather spend money on experiences than things.
  • People from 46 countries and 42 states came through the Cincinnati USA Visitor Center on Fountain Square last year.

Cincy Staycation Showcase on Fountain Square, 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Focusing on the national theme of “Travel Matters for New Experiences,” we are hosting the popular Staycation Showcase on Fountain Square. Visitors, residents and the downtown business lunch crowd (11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.) will be invited to learn about the unique regional attractions, experiences and events that make up our vibrant tourism destination while visiting interactive booths and enjoying entertainment.

Attendees will be given an event passport to collect stamps while enjoying booth activities and learning about the region. After collecting 10 stamps, the passport can be turned in for a drawing to win prizes and gift certificates from Cincinnati tourism businesses.
