Education Meetings in the Cincy Region

Your top-class education conference destination

When it comes to hosting your education meetings and conferences, Cincy leads the way. Home to countless world-class colleges and academic institutions, we have a long legacy of supporting education. Companies tap into the power of 300 colleges and universities within a 200-mile radius. Collectively, these institutions enroll 972,000 students and add more than 100,000 young professionals to the region's workforce each year.

In addition, Cincy is home to seven Fortune 500 and eleven Fortune 1,000 companies - all of which have a vested interest in recruiting candidates and supporting the efforts of diversity awareness programs.

Here are reasons to make Cincy your next destination for your next education venue of choice.

  • Affordable: Cincy is a more bang-for-your-buck kind of city. Budget-conscious travelers can easily find affordable accommodations. Meeting sites are cost-effective, and hotel room rates and cost of living (daily meal/travel expenses) are lower in Cincy.

  • Safe: Cincy is a very family-friendly city and has strong police visibility downtown, as well as downtown ambassadors.

  • Accessible: Cincy is located within 500 miles of 60 percent of the nation's population and is accessible by three major interstate highways (71, 75, and 74). A large portion of attendees will drive to a convention destination, making Cincy an ideal choice.

  • Walkable: With a compact urban core, Cincy is best explored on foot. The hotel properties and after-hours entertainment venues, shopping, and dining are within walking distance of attendees. This makes the conference more enjoyable for the attendee and allows you to save on transportation/shuttle costs.

  • Historical: Cincy has several excursion sites and off-site meeting venues that have educational value to attendees. With Cincinnati's distinct historical roots (i.e. Underground Railroad; German heritage; Art Deco; etc.) and renowned arts and culture scene, attendees can have fun and learn at the same time.

  • Duke Energy Convention Center: Education meetings can be self-contained at the Duke Energy Convention Center. All of the break-out meeting rooms are on one floor. Hotels are located within walking distance of the center.

"We selected Cincinnati based on what it had to offer as far as facilities, hotel packages and corporate sponsors. When you do citywide conventions, it takes everybody working together to make a success, and we really saw that in Cincinnati. I had a great experience. They were able to accommodate every request we threw at them with a smile. Our numbers just grew and grew, which was a great thing for Cincinnati and it contributed to our success. Everyone was on the same page and wanted our conference to be a success."
- Ron Underwood, The RK Group for the National Association of Hispanic MBAs

"The best part of the Cincinnati experience is the professionalism of the CVB. This team of people is most helpful for event planning. We have experienced tremendous support from city services, particularly the Cincinnati Police. Our members feel very welcome in the city."
- Roger Hall, Executive Director, Ohio Music Education Association

"I appreciate all of the support from the Cincinnati CVB! Our attendees felt very welcomed!"
- Natasha Waples, National Women's Studies Association
