Lockland celebrated the 150th anniversary of its incorporation in 1999! Lockland’s development was the direct result of its location of the Miami-Erie Canal. Today, the use of the canal has been replaced with major milestones in U.S. history such as the introduction of railroads and the development of I-75. Even though the canal has been replaced, it is still a tremendous part of Lockland’s history. During your next trip to the Greater Cincinnati area, make a stop through the village of Lockland to learn more about their rich community history.
