CTA Volunteer Opportunities
NEW OPPORTUNITIES! Volunteer for the Cincy USA Tourism Ambassadors Program
The Cincinnati USA CVB is seeking people enthusiastic about our region to become part of our volunteer team for our upcoming Cincy USA Certified Tourism Ambassadors Program. Volunteers are needed in two roles:
1. Facilitators: Co-lead a CTA class, by presenting the official class curriculum to about 40 people per class.
2. CTA administration help: ensure the success of the program by helping behind the scenes with program materials, classroom prep, test grading, etc.
Role of Facilitators
Facilitators will present CTA material in a class settting. The more trained facilitators we have, we can hold more concurrent sessions. Facilitators usually specialize in two of the modules (or about 1.5 hours of content), and two facilitators administer each class.
Facilitators are trained on the very specific curriculum, and mostly, are courteous and passionate about the city and subjects. They facilitate learning versus just disseminating information. Facilitators will better know Cincinnati USA as a destination and make connections with other people who are excited about the region. There will be a volunteer rewards and recognition program.
If you have any questions or are interested in learning more about becoming a facilitator, please contact Randie Adam, firstname.lastname@example.org; 513.632.5384.
Training: Each facilitator will be trained on the CTA curriculum by program managers.
Skills Needed: Enthusiasm, comfortable speaking in front of a group (about 40 in a class), ability to use an online scheduling program, familiarity with PowerPoint and ability to help set up for a meeting (including arranging tables, setting up AV, etc. which will be covered in training).
Commitment: We will ask that a volunteer facilitator be available to administer 1 class per month, depending on their schedule. A class is 4 hours long, and there may be prep time on either side of the class. Most classes will be on weekdays at 8 a.m. until 12:30. Classes will be held at different locations throughout the region. Transportation costs will be reimbursed.

There will be a volunteer rewards and recognition program.
Training: Admin Team volunteers will be trained “on-the-job” to see examples of each task in action.
Skills Needed: Organization, knowledge of basic office programs and equipment useful. Ability to use an online scheduling program
Commitment: At the launch of the program (April 2015), there will not be a set schedule for admins. When the work arises, we will ask for 2-3 hours. We ask that admin team try to work two shifts a month as demand necessitates. The location for the work will be in the Cincinnati USA CVB office at 525 Vine St., suite 1500. Parking will be provided.
