All-Star Community Events

The city is planning a week of non-stop entertainment in celebration of All-Star Week. Beginning Friday, July 10, 2015, and concluding Tuesday, July 14, 2015, guests will experience music celebration and fun throughout downtown Cincinnati and Northern KY. Batter Up Bash, Friday, July 10, 2015
5:30 - 11 p.m.; Fountain Square, Cincinnati

Get ready to celebrate, Cincinnati!  The COC is hosting a Baseball Bash to bring our community together in celebration of All-Star Week.  This event will be held on Fountain Square (5th and Vine Streets) from 5:30 PM – 11 PM.  Families should plan to join the early festivities which will include jugglers, magicians, family-friendly entertainment and food trucks.  As the party moves into the later hours, our All-Star Neighborhoods will be honored and a few surprises will be revealed. Sunday Sings, Sunday, July 12, 2015
10 a.m. - noon, Washington Park, Cincinnati

Residents and visitors are invited to join in this moving and interactive multi-cultural choral event. The morning will highlight:
  • The African Drummers and Dancers (prelude music begins at 10 AM)
  • Central State University Choir with Jeremy Winston, Director
  • Cincinnati Children’s Honor Choir from CPS with Special Guests
  • MUSE
  • The Martin Luther King Chorale
  • Northern Kentucky Brotherhood Singers
  • Peace and Serenity with Kenny Smith
  • Sound of Joy Chinese Women’s Chorus
The program will end on a high note, encouraging the audience to join in the finale and sing “Oh Happy Day” and “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.”

WHERE:  On the Haile Stage at Washington Park, 1230 Elm Street, Cincinnati, 45202.  (The stage is located across the street from Music Hall near the intersection of Elm and 14th Streets.)

Attendees are invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the music while sitting on the lawn at Washington Park.

This event is free to everyone in the community, and is made possible by the efforts of the Community Organizing Committee, an all-volunteer group made up of more than 200 area residents.
