Visitor Center Volunteer Program

The Cincinnati USA Visitor Center, located in the heart of the city on Fountain Square, is staffed by a friendly, dedicated group of community volunteers, and we'd like you to join us! Do you love Cincinnati? Are you looking for a way to be part of the region's exciting growth as a tourism destination? Do you want to learn more about Cincinnati in an energizing setting?

Visitor Center volunteers share their love of Cincinnati, its arts, history and culture, with our visitors from around the world. Even if you don't know Cincinnati inside and out, our training program, plus ongoing outings and get-togethers will help you get to know your city better, and you'll love learning more about its attractions, restaurants, events, arts, shopping, hotels and more.  Volunteering is a great opportunity to help your community while at the same time experiencing all it has to offer.

Cincinnati USA Visitor Center volunteers:

  • Assist individuals who come into the Visitor Center to learn more about Cincinnati USA.  You'll meet international visitors, convention attendees, families and more
  • Occassionaly answer telephone calls
  • Help keep brochure racks filled and organized
  • Park for free during their shift at the Fountain Square garage
  • Keep up-to-date on Cincinnati USA events, attractions and more through email newsletters, outings, group trips and more
  • Participate in volunteer appreciation events, often hosted by our top attractions
Visitor Center hours are Thursday-Sunday 11 a.m.-5 p.m., plus additional hours for special events.  We have two three-hour shifts each day, and two volunteers work every shift. Additionally, because a portion of the Visitor Center is shared as a Cincinnati Police Department sub-station, officers are often in the Center as well, and always eager to assist with guests when needed.

Here's how to get involved:
  • Click here to print a volunteer application, and return it by mail to the Cincinnait Police Department.
  • Contact Andrea McClain, Visitor Center Volunteer coordinator at the Cincinnati Convention & Visitors Bureau if you have any questions: 513.3632.5380
  • Attend one of our hospitality training sessions: Held the first Saturday of each month at 9 a.m. (RSVP required to Andrea McClain, 513.632-5380)
